  • Bachelor of Landscape Architecture, College of Design, Principal, North Carolina State University

Charles has a wide range of experience working with university, municipal, cultural, and private clients. Some notable projects include the City of Raleigh’s Union Station and Market and Exchange Plazas as well as Fayetteville State University’s Campus Master Plan. “As a landscape architect, I enjoy designing successful, memorable urban spaces that evolve with the people who use them.” Charlie’s favorite plant is Quercus virginiana, the southern live Oak, which has a sculptural tree form and can live to be centuries old.  “It’s adaptable to a range of conditions but is common in coastal NC landscapes.”
