Charles Bradley is a Principal and Partner at Surface 678, an award-winning landscape architecture firm based in Durham. With more than two decades of professional experience, Charles brings thoughtful leadership and design expertise to a diverse portfolio of university, municipal, cultural, and private-sector projects.
His notable work includes the HUB RTP at Research Triangle Park, the Bloc 83 mixed-use development in Raleigh, and the Athletics Precinct Master Plan for Duke University. Across these and many other projects, Charles has led multidisciplinary teams in shaping environments that strengthen community identity and elevate the public realm.
Throughout his 20+ year career in landscape architecture, Charles has focused on creating spaces that foster connection, wellness, and long-term vitality. His passion lies in the design of public parks and civic landscapes—places where thoughtful, enduring design can enhance the health and well-being of families and communities for generations to come.
