Wake Technical Community College began the first phase of the Research Triangle Campus in 2015. Surface 678 enhanced the master plan to reflect a denser array of buildings and a more cohesive community connection during the planning of Classroom Building 1. The site design program includes drop-off areas, bus stops, greenway access, building entry points, a corporate connections plaza, and a student lounge plaza.
