Nathan Holst

  • Bachelor of Landscape Architecture, University of Nebraska, Lincoln

Nathan began working at Surface 678 in 2019 as landscape designer where he performs graphical production (plans, sections, diagrams, presentations, precedent boards, perspective renders), CAD drafting (construction documentation, detailing), 3D modeling, and analysis and research.

He brings considerable experience to the field from his studies at the University of Nebraska and internship at HGOR, a planning and landscape architecture firm in Atlanta, Georgia. He has honed his skills on a multitude of projects at various stages, the most prominent of which involved creating a design proposal in response to Atlanta’s plans to transform an old quarry into the city’s largest park.

Nathan enjoys exploring the use of software to aid in project visualization for clients. Most notably, he is thrilled to have worked on the landscape design of Fitts-Woolard Hall at North Carolina State University.

Above all else, he is grateful for the unique and diverse group of talented individuals at Surface 678 who all work collaboratively to create memorable and enduring spaces throughout the region.

When off the clock, Nathan revels in exploring new places, both urban and natural, taking the occasional road trip across the county, and staying connected with friends and family.
