Fayetteville State University
Surface 678 developed a materials and landscape plan for a new 82,000 square foot residence hall. Renaissance Hall is a 350-bed dormitory that replaces an existing non-compliant dorm and accommodates future growth. The project is the first phase of a new Residential District that will be created with the addition of two additional dorms. Surface 678 worked with the University and Architect to develop the footprint of the building and provide courtyard and planting design. The placement of the building was based on it’s relationship to surrounding activity centers of campus, reflecting big picture campus connections outlined in the Campus Master Plan. The project was designed to LEED Silver standards.
