Ryan Ballard, Landscape Designer, Auburn University, Master of Landscape Architecture. Ryan’s passion and curiosity for landscapes was discovered through horticulture. He believes that plants offer dynamic qualities to landscape architecture and should be designed to give ephemeral moments and long-term impressions to the landscapes users. As a designer, Ryan likes to play with the notion of choreographing a site through plant phenology. By understanding how plants change and respond over time, he believes that planting should give initial space defining forms. Ryan is an avid outdoorsman and can be found hiking, biking, or fly-fishing the triangle area.
