Hannah Barefoot, Landscape Designer, University of Virginia, Master of Landscape Architecture. Hannah was drawn to landscape architecture when she realized the field could encompass her study of craft in sculpture and printmaking and her obsession with plants and ecosystems. Hannah is particularly interested in how the design, stewardship and cultivation of landscapes can manifest cultural and social values. With specific interests in site analysis, research, and plants, Hannah enjoys working on projects with an emphasis on creating intimate spaces at a human scale. A native North Carolinian, Hannah particularly enjoys being a part of designing landscapes in the Southeast and working with her knowledge of the ecosystems and vernacular aesthetics.
