Lappas + Havener Honored As NCASLA Chapter’s 2012 Firm of the Year

Lappas + Havener was honored by the North Carolina chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects (NCASLA) as the 2012 Firm of the Year. The award celebrates outstanding landscape architecture and major contributions to the achievement of the profession within North Carolina.

The jury commented that “the continued innovation and growth of Lappas + Havener is evident in the design of public spaces that are meaningful, memorable, and evoke a unique sense of place.”

The NCASLA also recognized two Lappas + Havener projects with Awards of Honor. They included the Mary Hayes Barber Holmes Park in Pittsboro, NC and the Fayetteville State University Campus Master Plan.

The NCASLA is the state chapter of the national professional association for landscape architects. The parent organization, the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) represents more than 15,000 members across 49 professional chapters and 72 student chapters.
